You step into a place that breathes entrepreneurship. As a student, you walk among the owners of startups and scale-ups. They are present every day, working on their businesses. You attend your classes here, have lunch with other entrepreneurs, and then head to the Incubator to work on your own business.
Our program
Over a course of four years at Unknown University of Applied Sciences, you'll attend weekly workshops, receive personalized coaching, and team mentoring for your business projects. Apply these lessons immediately to your business. Here’s an overview of your yearly courses.
Year 1: Foundations
Build your entrepreneurial mindset and learn the fundamentals of innovation.
Demonstrate a clear business concept and evidence of initial customer validation.
Deeper alignment between your personal values and the problem you aim to solve; developed business ideas that authentically reflect you as a founder.
Develop a clear understanding of how your personal drivers and values translate into meaningful, impact-oriented entrepreneurial opportunities.
Develop the ability to analyse emerging trends and societal shifts to anticipate change and identify future opportunities for your business.
Establish a sound financial and legal foundation for your venture by setting up basic bookkeeping systems, managing cash flow and taxes, and identifying common legal risks for founders.
Apply entrepreneurial research methods to collect, analyse, and interpret data that supports evidence-based business decisions and strategic innovation.
Demonstrate ability to collect, analyze, and validate customer insights to inform evidence-based business decisions.
Demonstrate ability to apply design thinking processes to develop innovative, human-centered solutions for complex business challenges.
Year 2: Building
Develop practical skills to build and validate your business concepts.
Validate riskiest assumptions through experiments and produce a market-ready solution prototype supported by evidence.
Demonstrate resilience and personal effectiveness by managing stress, maintaining focus, and adapting productively in uncertain situations.
Design and validate innovative business models that strengthen product–market fit and enhance your venture’s long-term viability.
Create a strategic and emotionally resonant brand identity, captured in a professional brand book that aligns with your business purpose and audience.
Develop and apply financial models to forecast growth, assess profitability, and support data-driven strategic decisions for your business.
Design and test pricing strategies using lean experimentation techniques to determine optimal value propositions and revenue models.
Be equipped to evaluate emerging technologies and leverage them strategically to enhance your business model and operations.

Year 3: Scaling

Design and prototype service innovations that create integrated, valuable, and meaningful experiences for users and businesses alike.
Understand the strategic, operational, and leadership requirements for sustainably scaling a startup into a high-growth business.
Demonstrate cultural intelligence and effective communication skills for collaborating across diverse teams, building trust, and leading inclusively in international business contexts.

Our program is designed for real founders. You’ll graduate with more than just a degree—you’ll graduate with a business that’s already making an impact.
Entry requirements
(DUTCH) HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
If you hold a Dutch HAVO or VWO diploma, you are directly admissible to our Bachelor of Science program, regardless of your study profile.
What we need from you:
- Copy of your passport
- Motivation letter & CV/resume
- High school diploma and/or other education
- Transcript of grades
Dutch HAVO or VWO graduates are exempt from English tests.

Students with a high school diploma are admissible to our Bachelor of Science program.
INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
If you have completed a high school diploma abroad, you are often admissible if your diploma qualifies you for higher education in your home country. Because international diplomas vary, we manually check if yours meets our requirements.

DUTCH MBO STUDENTS – LEVEL 4 (BUSINESS-RELATED)
If you hold a Dutch MBO 4 diploma in a business-related field, you are directly admissible to the program.

- MBO diploma and transcripts
- High school diploma and/or other education (if available)
- Transcript of grades
- Proof of English proficiency

TUITION FEE & APPLICATION DEADLINES
EU / NL Students
- €15,000 per year
- Monthly installments available via direct debit
Non-EU Students
- €15,000 per year
- Upfront payment required due to the visa application process
- Additional visa costs: €700
Application Deadlines
Our Bachelor of Science program starts once a year in the first week of September.
We do not have a fixed application deadline, but class capacity is limited.

BACHELOR STUDENTS AT OTHER UNIVERSITIES
If you are currently studying at another Dutch or international university, it is often possible to transfer into our Bachelor of Science in Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
If your current program is business-related, some of your study points (ECTS) may be transferred. This could shorten the duration of your studies at Unknown University.
How the transfer process works
- Contact our admissions team to discuss your situation.
- Send us your curriculum and module guides from your current program. Based on this, we can give you an initial indication of which modules or credits may be transferred.
- Apply to Unknown University.
- Once admitted, you provide your official transcripts from your current university
- Our exam board reviews your transcripts and approves any exemptions.
- Together with you, we create a personalized study schedule.

21+ STUDENTS / OTHER SITUATIONS
If you are over 21 and do not have a high school diploma, you can still join our Bachelor of Science in Innovation & Entrepreneurship by passing our 21+ test.
The 21+ admission process includes:
- An online test
- An interview

- Any diploma(s) you may have obtained
- Transcript of grades (if available)
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.0+, Cambridge B2+, or equivalent)

VISA APPLICATION
To support our students in their transition to the Netherlands, Unknown University of Applied Sciences arranges the study visa for those who need one.
We will start the visa application procedure once:
- You have been unconditionally admitted, and
- The first year’s tuition fees have been paid.

Chances are you’re not from The Hague in the Netherlands. Borders don’t limit your ambition, and we understand that.
